How We Are Governed

The Unitarian Universalist Church in Fullerton is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations.

Like all UU Churches, we are governed locally by a board elected by the members of our congregation.

Our board consists of the president, who may serve two consecutive one-year terms, and eight trustees, who each may serve two consecutive two-year terms.

The actions of the Board are conducted under the authority of the church bylaws, first adopted by the congregaton in 1967.
The board meets in the evening of the second Tuesday of every month; the minutes are posted in the social hall of the Temple, and published in the church newsletter.
The bylaws determine exactly how our congregation is run.
At our request, Mary Gleason from the UUA visited us in the middle of October and conducted a complete assessment of our congregation. Read her final Assessment Visit Report and think about what direction you would like to see our congregation take in the future.
